Wheeler County Cultural Coalition Offers Grants

 

           Mitchell. OR - March 2012 - The Wheeler County Cultural and Heritage Coalition has awarded over $8700.00 to various indiviuals and groups throughout Wheeler County since June 2008.

             Non-profit groups in Wheeler County involved in the arts, heritage and the humanities are  encouraged to apply for Spring grants up to $500. Applications are available HERE.   The deadline for submission is April 30, 2012.

            Funding for the local Cultural Coalition is provided by the Oregon Cultural Trust. Members of the Wheeler County Coalition represent all three communities within the county.

            In past years the Coalition has provided mini-grants to such organizations as theatre groups, libraries, historical societies, the writer-in-residence program, etc.
